Readings are an important part of any Mambo's work. The ability to commune with the Lwa, to speak for them on this plane and to carry through their directions is at the heart of any mambo's work. Mambo Vye Zo prefers to do readings in person. Sometimes, this is not possible, due to time constraints or distance. When this is an issue, Mambo Vye Zo is available via telephone for readings on life affairs, personal relationships, spiritual concerns and Met Tet ("Master of the Head" - your ruling Lwa) readings. Mambo Vye Zo uses the Vodou Tarot as the medium for exploration. Here's how it works, from Mambo Vye Zo: "A Tarot Reading is really a snap shot of you at a particular time. Through the tarot images, I am given a story about the situation you are having., This story tells me who the actors are, what roles they play and how they work with one another. The actors are the Lwa who are working with and through you at the moment. The story is one that relates directly to you at that particular moment in time. By interpreting the story, and responding to the Lwa who present themselves, we can seek solutions to the challenges you are facing. And like any living story, it's ending can be influenced by many things, including your participation in the work!" For an at distance reading, Mambo Vye Zo send specific directions on how to proceed. For an in person reading, the sitter is also given direction and advice.
