Boutey are used for many things - holding offerings like Piman or rum; being a pwen for a special working, or just as art object that the Lwa love for their altars! Fet Gede boutey are made in the colors of the season - black satin, wrapped and tied in purple and white ribbons, encrusted with sequins, beads and charms. Each boutey comes with a necklace and a prayer to the Gede group of Lwa, for their intercession in matters of health and success!
